Inayah Sherry
Hi! My name is Inayah, and I am the owner and art therapist/counsellor here at Bloom Creative Healing. My passion and enthusiasm for supporting others manifested at a very young age as I volunteered at a number of different organizations working with children, adults, and older adults.
While at Harrison College, I toured the Barbados Psychiatric Hospital and recognized that I wanted to be a part of the team of professionals helping to support individuals with mental illness. My enthusiasm for supporting others was further encouraged by my love for art. Through my own art making process I was able to benefit from the healing qualities of art therapy.
I went on to attain my master's degree in Art Therapy and Counselling in the United States, mobilizing both art therapy and talk therapy techniques to help support my clients. However, my plan was always to return to Barbados to help and empower Barbadians through their healing journeys.
My practice in art therapy and counselling is expansive. I have utilized both art therapy and talk therapy techniques working with survivors of sexual and domestic violence, addicted persons, neurodivergent and disabled persons, cancer survivors, LGBTQIA + teens, children with social-emotional challenges, and immigrants. In my work with clients, I utilize a number of approaches including person-centered, trauma- informed, and solution focused frameworks.

We offer individual art therapy and talk therapy sessions. These sessions are designed to support individuals as they identify and address issues that may be impacting their lives. These sessions can be done in office, out of office or virtually. Our out of office option is only available on Saturdays and the client and therapist will agree on where they would like to meet. This option is available for persons who may be more comfortable having their session in an outdoor setting.

Professional Wellness Check
We provide group art therapy and talk therapy sessions to businesses and companies, centralizing the mental and emotional wellbeing of staff. In doing so, we focus on enriching the wellbeing of individuals in work settings and their personal lives. Additionally, we offer a 4-week mental health workshop which focuses on the intersection of personal and professional wellbeing. The workshop is designed to promote mental health wellness in the workplace through psychoeducation, discussion and art making.
