Robert Acevedo

Robert is a graduate of Gibbs High School in the Pinellas County Center for the Arts program (PCCA). He is currently attending SPJC for music and continues to play and create original music. Robert has more than 10 years of playing experience on piano, succeeding in solo competitions and ensemble work including playing with the prestigious Ruth Eckerd Hall Youth Jazz Band.

Nikki Metropoulos has been teaching woodwinds, brass, and orchestral strings with Seminole Music for almost 2 years. While completing her Bachelors of Music degree in Clarinet Performance at USF, Nikki took many technique classes for different instruments. Her focus is on helping students improve their technique, intonation, and sight reading skills. As a teacher, she has helped students prepare for All-County, All-State, and Solo and Ensemble auditions. Nikki has over 27 years of playing experiences and over 12 years of teaching experience.

Tyler is a drummer born and raised in the Seminole area. A graduate of Seminole High School, he has taken a number of music courses including Piano, and electronic music, as well as experience performing as opening acts for several large names. A student of Glenn Meyer, Tyler has experience in Rock, Metal, Fusion, and Funk drumming. Beginner through Intermediate students accepted.

Julie has taught Violin for 29 years and was director of the Suzuki program at Duchess Community College Music School. She has taught students aged 4 to adult and has led and organized concerts. She has memorized Suzuki Violin Methods 1-4 and has participated in several orchestras in New York in addition to being Concert Master of 3 Florida Orchestras. She balances a high quality of instruction with patience and humor.

Natalie is currently studying at University of South Florida to get her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. Focusing on piano intimately throughout high school and college, she rehearses classical-style music. In addition to piano, she is skilled in marimba and snare drum; she performed percussion for all 4 years of high school marching band, and completed 4 years of percussion ensembles at Saint Petersburg College. She has a passion for music theory and composition, and is working on writing piano pieces. She received her AA in Music Education, and has been teaching all levels of piano since 2021, for any age group. She encourages students to explore and enjoy music to find the niche that they enjoy best!

Rick was a guitar studies teacher at both UMass Lowell and Boston for thirty years. He has taught guitar, bass and piano independently since 1974. He is featured on six different studio recordings and has a 2000 Grammy nomination for best instrumental music with children's spoken word with composer Mike Moss,.

Martha Roy

Martha has a B.A. in Voice with Violin and a B.A. in Music Education. She has been a violin instructor since 1983. She has been an instructor at Seminole Music since 2006. She teaches using the Suzuki method 1-10 as well as additional Violin and Viola pieces. She teaches her students both expertise and technical skill as well as an enjoyment for both instruments. Martha played with an orchestra that went to Europe to promote friendship between the United States and Romania. Martha is a wedding violinist and singer. She also does concerts featuring operatic and sacred music. She has two student recitals a year at Seminole Music.

Perry Howell Brings a diverse musical background to Seminole Music. Author of, Performing Guitarists Tricks & Licks: How to Sound Like the Song and over the last thirty years has also taught at several Tampa Bay music schools, including his own store: Express music. He is deeply qualified in a wide range of styles including Rock, Contemporary, Pop, Folk and Country. He offers instruction in guitar, bass, recording techniques, improvisation, music composition and performance. Perry has developed his own musical program, allowing him to customize individual lessons for each student to learn at their own pace.

Melina Sciulli

Melina studied Music at Duquesne University and has over 15 years of experience in performance with various instruments including violin, viola, ukulele, and piano. She is currently the lead violin player for Fiddle & Fret, a Renaissance Band and performs in multiple Renaissance Festivals. She is committed to creating a supportive and inspiring environment for students to explore and achieve their musical goals. She has performed with multiple orchestras, holding positions such as concertmaster, first desk, and soloist. Her musical journey began at age 6 with piano, driven by a deep passion for music, and expanded to include violin and viola during elementary school, which she has continued to play ever since. She attended a performing arts middle and high school, thriving in a competitive environment, and later minored in music at Duquesne University. Since then, she has been actively involved in various orchestras and performing gigs.

Joe has been teaching since 1974. he attended West Liberty University in West Virginia from 1977-1981 on a 4 year musical scholarship where he participated in every available instrumental performance group. He then attended Kirkwood Community College in Iowa on another music scholarship while receiving several recognitions at the Elmhurst Jazz Festival. Joe teaches all woodwind and Brass instruments.

Great experience!

Signed my youngest up for individualized lessons. He really likes his instructor, it was easy to set up the appointment online, and the store owner was also very much personable and knowledgeable.
