Created in 2018 as Canada’s premier Known-Donor Agency, Her Helping Habit works holistically with all clients to guide them on their journey to parenthood. We developed a one-of-a-kind research-based program with a client-centred framework to support donors, surrogates and recipients getting to know each other, acting as a liaison between these parties and industry professionals and case management throughout the journey.团队组成

Hi, I'm Katie, the Founder of Her Helping Habit. I also work as our company's Case Manager for all Egg Donor & Surrogacy cases. Serving and supporting others and my community has been a massive part of my heart from a young age. In my 6th-grade year, I was acknowledged for my activism and awarded the single "Young Leaders of Tomorrow" Award for my entire town. Immediately after high school, I attended Mount Royal University in Calgary, graduating from their Social Work Program. Shortly after, in 2015, I became a known-egg donor for the first time and have since helped five families conceive thanks to these donations. I then used my first-hand knowledge from 6 egg donor cycles and counselling and advocacy experience from my educational program to open Her Helping Habit, the first agency of its kind in Canada, as it solely provides known-egg donation coordination. In 2022, we opened a surrogacy program to help fill another need. One of my biggest hopes is to raise awareness around why using a known egg donor, sperm donor, or embryo donor is the best practice (and should be the ONLY practice) when building a family with third-party assisted reproduction. When not being a social worker and business owner, I travel, spend time with loved ones, or do something, investing in myself!

Hey! I'm Sarah, the Egg Donor Coordinator with Her Helping Habit. As a previous donor, I've strongly advocated known donations. I've seen how my donations have impacted real families and how life-changing it's been for many people, including myself. Outside of egg donation, I live in beautiful BC and try to get outside a lot with hiking, beachcombing and wild foraging, usually accompanied by my three dogs.

Hello! I'm Emma, one of the Egg Donor Coordinators at Her Helping Habit. I hold a Master of Science degree in Genetic Counselling, and my journey into the world of egg donation began while working in genetics at an IVF/fertility clinic. During my time there, I had the privilege of quickly connecting with the people I worked with and found a huge passion for supporting clients on their pathways to parenthood. I see egg donation as hugely important in creating equal opportunities for parents to start families. Outside of work, I love all things active and outdoors, especially kayaking, snowboarding, and swimming in the ocean.

Hello there! I'm Ivy, an egg donor coordinator and artist based in Ontario. I have always known that I wanted children and to help others start their families if possible. So, after completing my first cycle with Her Helping Habit as a Donor, I joined the team. I also run my own business as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. I have always been fascinated by pregnancy, labour, and postpartum.
