Blood Pressure - A simple cuff is placed on the arm. The test measures the (systolic) pressure of the blood flow when the heart muscle squeezes (contracts) and the (diastolic) pressure which is the blood flow between heartbeats.

Pulse Oximetry - A device is placed on a finger. The test measures the oxygen level (oxygen saturation) of the blood to measure how well oxygen is being sent to parts of the body furthest from the heart, such as the arms and legs.
