Clint is a highly experienced business professional and CELTA-certified English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher with a wealth of international experience and knowledge.
After growing up near Toronto, Canada, Clint attended Columbia University in New York City, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research. Upon graduating, he worked for one of the world's largest banks, HSBC, gaining international experience in their Global Markets Division. There, he specialized in structured equities sales and trading on the high-pressure trading floors of New York, London, and Hong Kong. He maintained a client base in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, overseeing the sales and execution of over $2 billion in structured equity products.
Clint then worked as a senior commodities trader on the New York Mercantile Exchange, managing a portfolio of options on silver and gold futures contracts, and making markets on electronic trading platforms and in the open outcry pit. Later on, he founded his own company that specialized in making markets on various contracts linked to commodity volatility. Clint currently maintains a small portfolio of equity options which he manages passively.
Drawing on his extensive experience in finance and commodities trading, Clint uses his expertise to help non-native English speakers become more acclimatized to North American and European business environments.
