COMPLAINT ABOUT RETURNING CONVOCATION GOWN ISSUE

I am Liew Wey, a graduate student who just graduated from INTI International University. In the beginning, since my family and I had planned to take my graduation photos on the next day of convocation at FOTOREX Jaya One (30 July) so I went to inquiry the staff of FOTOREX that may I return the convocation gown on the day that I take my graduation photos on the gowns collection day (21 July). I clearly understand that there will be a penalty if graduates do not return the gowns right after the convocation on the convocation day so that’s why I inquired. However, after the inquiry, the staff replied that I can return the gown later on that day I took my graduation photos but not on the original date for returning gowns (29 July). Besides, I also made a double confirmation with the staff of FOTOREX about returning the gown later at the venue of returning gowns and I clearly saw that the staff had recorded my name for this case after confirming with his supervisor. However, after I finished taking my graduation photos at FOTOREX Jaya One and going to return the graduation gown, the staff claimed that I am going to receive a penalty which is RM100 due to late return of graduation gown and there is no record about the request that I need to delay the return of the graduation gown (She had made few calls to her colleague to confirm the records but there is still no result at last). I felt shocked and angry when I received this reply so my family and I started to argue with the staff. Finally, we reached a settlement and the staff said that I am not going to receive any penalty but she claimed that the reason for not giving a penalty is a “discount” for me and it is a problem on the INTI side (Well I don’t know what is the problem she said). Although my family and I were not satisfied with this reply, we decided not to continue arguing with the staff at the studio. After several discussions with my family, we still decided to complain about this case to express our dissatisfaction and disappointment with the service. I was very satisfied with the service provided by FOTOREX since my sister took her graduation photos for both degree and master here, however, this happened and had changed my mind about it. Overall, I believe that the reason for this case is miscommunication between staff and hope that there will not be any similar cases occur in the future because I know that some of the graduates also request delay return of graduation gowns as well as they may meet similar cases like mine.

Graduation Photoshoot

I had a wonderful photoshoot session with Fotorex. The photographer and staffs were very friendly and helpful. All the photos were nice, couldn’t pick the one for frame.

Graduation Photoshoot

good service. wonderful staffs that were friendly and jovial. they helped to set the studio downstairs as my blind grandma could't climb the stairs. they were outstanding and also cheerful. a good business people to work with. thank you . keep up a good job. hats off.
