About the company

Gordons Chemists COVID-19 & Flu Vaccination Service – Autumn/Winter 2022-23 You can receive COVID-19 and/or Flu vaccination from our vaccination teams in participating branches of Gordons Chemists. Eligible persons can find their nearest participating branch, and book their appointment with us by using the online booking system below. Please do not phone our pharmacies or head office to book appointments. New clinics will be announced via our social media channels, and on our website, when new appointments will become available for booking. This autumn/winter 2022-23 COVID-19 vaccination campaign provided by community pharmacies primarily targets the eligible cohorts listed below who require their ‘additional’ (ie second or third) booster dose. However, we are also able to vaccinate those patients who still require their first or second primary doses, or their initial booster dose at this clinic. The COVID-19 vaccination we will administer is Spikevax (Moderna) monovalent vaccine for first and second primary doses – and Spikevax (Moderna) bivalent vaccine for those who require a booster dose. Also note the following minimum dosage intervals that are stipulated: 8 weeks between first and second primary doses; 3 months between second primary and first booster dose; 3 months between first booster and second/additional booster dose.   This autumn/winter 2022-23 Flu vaccination campaign provided by community pharmacies targets only the eligible cohorts listed below. The flu vaccination we will administer is Fluad (aQIV) vaccine to those aged 65 years and over – and Flucelvax (QIVc) vaccine to those aged under 65yrs and who are in an eligible cohort. Please check to ensure that you are in one of the following eligible groups for COVID-19 and flu vaccination before proceeding to book an appointment – these are:·         50 years or over (includes those turning 50 by 31/3/2023)·         Health & Social Care Worker (HSCW) aged 18 years or older·         Staff from RQIA registered care home and aged 18 years or older·         Pregnant woman aged 18 years or older·         Carers aged 18 years or older Additional Information: We are currently unable to vaccinate immunocompromised patients aged 18-49. Your pharmacist will ask for photographic proof of identification (with DOB) and proof of eligibility. Please use your full name as it is listed on your medical records when booking an appointment. Please insert H&C number (listed on your prescription) if possible, to improve record matching. This is important so the vaccination can be added to your medical records, which provides information for the App and COVID certificates.  In exceptional circumstances, if you are not able to attend an appointment please follow the guidance/link on your booking confirmation email or text to cancel or change an appointment. NEVER leave an appointment slot filled if you do not intend to attend as this will prevent others from booking this appointment and your allocated dose of vaccine will be wasted.
