After a whirlwind romance with house music which culminated in Djing at the world famous Manchester nightclub The Hacienda I turned my attention inwards and hung up the headphones and jetted off to Mysore South India to immerse myself in Ashtanga Yoga. In the 22 plus years of being immersed in Ashtanga Yoga (in both practicing & teaching) I have taught Yoga all over the world including Europe , India and America. I have set up and established Yoga studios in Manchester London and Los Angeles . I have an A list private clientele which includes Russell Brand members of British Rock groups (The Stone Roses , Blur & The Smiths) and also players from the English football premier league. I hold the highly coveted Ashtanga Yoga level 2 teaching authorisation from the AYRI, the governing body of Ashtanga in Mysore , South India. My own personal yoga practice incudes working through into the Advanced B series of Ashtanga Yoga – one of the very few yoga practitioners from around the world working at this level. I am an Ambassador to the Operation-Shanti charity (operation-shanti.org) which is based in Mysore South India, organising fund raising events (when I’m in Mysore I also plays football with the kids who the charity supports). In 2015 I created the ‘nee-ji’ the safe knee support for yoga & meditation (nee-ji.com) a unique standalone product that helps to support knees in yoga and meditation practices. The nee-ji has a worldwide customer base.

A picturesque seaside town might not be the first place you’d think to go when you’re looking to get inked but Broadstairs new co-working/events space is a little different.
The property already has a large connections with artists and other creatives and now it’s launching a one-off pop-up tattoo parlour. HOME will team up with PRISON STYLE TIM, Freehand handpoke tattoo & owner of @brb_tattoo & @steampunksauna.
Folkestone-based tattoo artist Prisonstyle AKA Tim specialises in traditional hand poked tattoos; always drawn freehand, his iconic doodle style is poignant and playful in equal doses. Working off script and combining his imagery with textual references and phrases embed within the artist's work a sense of raw, punk authenticity and vitally. A multi-disciplinary artist working across tattoo, illustration and installation, Tim's work can been seen adding spark and flair from buildings to bodies across the country - to provide people of Thanet and visitors with some new tatts.
You’ll be able to visit the HOME to either get a pre-existing design etched on to you or create something bespoke in collaboration with TIM. The pop-up parlour will be in a private area of the lounge, so you won’t have to worry about nosy on-lookers while you’re going under the needle.
