Pledge2020 Upgrade
LGfL’s project (Pledge2020) to provide faster connections and improved security across thousands of schools, at no additional cost, is scheduled to finish in December 2020.
Pledge 2020 has been welcomed by schools, particularly as it helps support effective remote learning and faster access to cloud services during COVID-19. Over 95% of schools are now scheduled or already completed.
Your school is in our final group to upgrade and LGfL is very keen to make sure your school has an infrastructure and connection speed that supports your needs during this very difficult time.
NEXT STEPS – PLEASE BOOK YOUR SLOT
This is your last opportunity to upgrade your bandwidth and have improved security which is, as indicated above, provided at no extra cost to your school. The upgrade takes around 2 hours and, if it’s not convenient during school opening hours, it can be scheduled out of hours or weekends to suit your school’s needs.
To take advantage of this free offer please indicate your preferred appointment time and date by emailing our Programme Lead, Richard Hannah at richard.hannah@lgfl.net. The available appointments are from Monday 7th – Saturday 13th December at 10:00, 12:30, 15:30, after hours (up to 8pm) and Saturday (8am to 6pm).
Given the pressures currently facing schools LGfL will fund the costs of the Site Services Officer to open the school on Saturday, or to keep the school open later in the evening, to enable the upgrade to take place and minimise downtime in the school
