A FLAT RIDE ON LUGANO LAKE
Cycling is one of the best ways to explore the countryside around Lake Lugano .

You can cycle the route along the shores of lake. The Southern basin is a 50 km loop (31 mi) completly flat, part in Italy and part in Switzerland . You can ride through Porto Ceresio, Brusimpiano, Lavena Ponte Tresa. For a short time you can then leave the lake and cut across Caslano on back roads. You can carry on your route through Agno, Morcote, Melide, Bissone, Capolago, Riva San Vitale and Brusino.
On the the shores of Lake Lugano lies MORCOTE at the foot Monte Arbostora: one of the most beautiful village of Switzerland. With its characteristic small alleys, the arcades of old patrician homes, valuable architectural monuments and its natural beauty, Morcote is considered the pearl of the lake. Of particular architectural interest, is the church of Santa Maria del Sasso, the terraced cemetery and the Tower of the Captain.

Lake Lugano is amazing for e-boat tour. Lugano is a beautiful, vibrant city in the summer, the quaint villages around and the surrounding mountains boast nike treks and memorable views, when you get off the e-boat.
The itinerary:
we suggest to you to visit the part of the lake to the east of Lugano, which also has the most imposing views.
Start the tour in Lugano and go near Cressogno. In front of nice little towns lying at the feet of the mountains, until we crossed the lake and we reached Rescia, on the South bank.
Here we saw a nice waterfall, than we continued near steep hills covered by trees. Going west, we got back to Switzerland and we reached Cantine Gandria, where among the trees there are some "grotti", od houses, made of stones that are now picturesque restaurants.
As it is a very good idea to spend more days around the lake!
