Queer for All Seasons: The 519's Pride Speaker Series 2024 Vibrancy, authenticity, bravery, and joy — these have been the foundations of 2 Spirit, queer, trans, and non-binary communities in the face of discrimination, illness, and systemic violence for generations. Despite it all, we are building the world we want to see — with great communal strength, resilience, and a deep desire for change. This Pride 2024, we want to share gems of wisdom from the deep well of collective community knowledge.Queer and Trans communities have weathered storms of discrimination, illness, and systemic violence for generations. Through communal strength and resilience, we have made it to the bliss of a rainbow when the clouds part.This June, we want to pass our umbrella on to you - Our AT WORK and AT HOME sessions will give you valuable tools to create meaningful and lasting change in all aspects of you and your team's lives. Learn from our communications team how to TELL OUR STORIES in affirming ways, and bolster your understanding of the histories of our communities in PRIDE PIONEERS and LIVING LEGENDS. If you are ready, take the NEXT STEPS in your allyship and learn to become a fierce advocate for systemic change.In these sessions your staff team will gain tangible skills and fundamental knowledge to champion inclusion and expansion in your workplace.
