Either Kati Vasti (Lowerback), Pristha Vasti (Middle spine), Greeva Vasti(Cervical Spine), Hrydaya asti (Heart), Janu Vasti (Knees) - These are external treatments performed by making a dam around the specified regions and filling it with warm herbal oils.  The heat causes sweating and the herbal oil decoction causes the toxins to evacuate from the specified area.  In this way also, the oil penetrate the tissue and starts to heal and rejuvenate the cells in the area.

We have built in some efficiencies into this combination so that your partner will feel comfortable either taking in the nature, having an Ayurvedic foot soak or sipping on a herbal tea in the interim as we alternate treatments between you both.  Total Time is 4 hours.  Do come on an empty stomach.

Consultation is the soul of Ayurveda. Ayurvedic Treatment plan is not based on symptoms but deeper imbalances. Only through a proper Ayurvedic Consultation and Examination, can a Treatment plan be tailored according to the specific needs of an individual.

Diagnosis according to Ayurveda is not merely knowing about the symptoms of the disease but finding out the root cause of the disease. This includes finding out the imbalance of Doshas (the combination of elements in ones body), blockage of channels, malfunctioning of a certain organ or system, improper functioning of Dhathus (cells, tissues, organs and systems), disturbance in the excretory functions etc.

Ayurvedic Consultation allows an Ayurvedic Physician to determine your unique body make-up and specific problems. The first consultation usually goes on for 30 to 60 minutes. It includes detailed history and Ayurvedic examination including pulse diagnosis. After completing the examination the doctor explains to the patient the imbalances and recommends Lifestyle changes, Diet, Pranayam (breathing exercise). All these treatments are recommended according to the body type and imbalances found in the patient.

Two additional areas of recommendation may arise in the consultation. One is the purification therapy known as Panchakarma. This is recommended for the removal of deep-seated toxins. The other is the use of herbal preparations, which restore balance and rejuvenate the body.

Patra pinda sweda is a specialized sweating (swedana) and oleation therapy (snehana) which is used in the management of severe muscular pain. Patra means leaves of medicinal plants, pinda means a poultice and sweda means fomentation or sweating. The oleation and fomentation therapy uses a poultice containing a combination of medicinal leaves, oil and herbs. This procedure is unique in a way that it involves both snehana and swedana.  The treatment includes herbs, poultice preparation as well as execution.
