Dear Hebrew School Families:
Join us in bringing your entire family to participate in our annual Mitzvah Day on Chanukah. This is the event of giving back to our community and beyond. Choose an organization that is meaningful to you and sign your family up for it. On December 5th we will all contribute to give back to the organizations that make the world a better place for the people who need it most.

On Mitzvah Day, you and your family will make pumpkin pies in the commercial kitchen @ Chabad and distribute them at the Gillespie Center.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) provide security for the land of Israel and thereby Jews all over the world. It goes without saying that we need to do all that we can to support our brothers and sisters on the front lines.
On Mitzvah Day, we will hear from an Israeli soldier, and write cards to be delivered to soldiers on active duty. We will also prepare gifts to send to children of Israeli reservists. Lastly, we will work together to send specific winter wear items for the IDF Elite units serving inside Gaza, and support soldiers on base around the country.

The Mission of the Friendship Circle is to bridge the gap between special needs and typical youth through shared experience, empower special needs youth with the skills they need to live a productive and independent adult life, give parents and families much-needed respite, and nurture a sense of awareness and communal responsibility in our teens.
On Mitzvah Day, your family will learn about the power of Friendship Circle, donate specific items, and pack packages to be delivered to special needs children in Israel. Stay tuned for more details on what to bring with you.

At Pink Aid, we understand that while battling breast cancer, finances can be extremely tight and personal situations can be extremely trying.
Pink Aid’s Pink Posse is a group of volunteer Warriors and friends who help breast cancer patients in dire need by delivering bags of compassion to local area hospitals for immediate distribution to patients. These patients are battling breast cancer. They are also struggling with finances, childcare and personal situations that can be extremely trying.
On Mitzvah Day, we will be packing care packages to be distributed to patients who need them. Please look out for an email that will have a list of requested items for the care packages.
