About the company
Hello! This is the booking website of Carolyn Harkness.
I am first and foremost, the parent of three young-adult children who successfully live with a range of chronic illnesses. I have lived experience as a carer for and an educator of those with anxiety, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, eating disorders, ankylosing spondylitis (AS), first episode psychosis (FEP) and schizophrenia.
I have a unique combination of qualifications, professional and lived experience. I am a qualified Pastoral Counsellor, a specialised branch of counselling that seeks to include a person's spiritual connectedness to their personal beliefs when considering the matters that are influencing the physical, emotional and mental health of an individual. I am also a Master's Degree qualified early childhood teacher and [now retired] university lecturer in the field of early childhood and primary education, family studies and disability.
I am an educator, counsellor, therapist and confidante with a high degree of personal integrity, academic knowledge, emotional intelligence, and spiritual awareness - a very different sort of life-coach. To find out more, please visit my website: bravertogether.com.au

Carolyn Harkness
Carolyn Harkness is a NDIS registered therapeutic support provider. She is an early childhood and primary educator, counsellor, and mentor specialising in helping individuals and families facing anxiety, ADHD, autism, depression, chronic illness, and related psycho-social challenges.
With over a decade of experience as an educator and counsellor, she provides person-centred support to foster self-esteem and resilience in each client. With a gentle and patient approach, she works collaboratively with her clients to understand their unique strengths and needs, helping them navigate life's challenges.
