We're here to help your child be more coordinated, calm & connected. When kids can navigate their bodies, thoughts & relationships, their lives are filled with greater joy and ease. At Rooted Occupational Therapy, we take kids outdoors and have a strengths-based approach to guide and help them flourish and grow. Mya Zavaleta
Mya is the founder and owner of Rooted Occupational Therapy. She has served the DC area since 2004 and worked in school settings for over 10 years. She is a mother of two boys, 12 and 14 yo. She is bicultural and fully bilingual (Spanish). Her love for the outdoors, her EcoTherapy certification, and her direct positive experiences with nature as a place of growth and healing make her an ideal partner for children to develop resiliency and life skills while in nature.
