The whole experience was awesome. Comments from groups was this is perfect for hearing and talking, the temperature was comfortable, the food was excellent and we should do this again. Jaden, our server, was outstanding very attentive and helpful.

A January Outing

We had a fun and very comfortable igloo experience! Our server was very welcoming, friendly and answered our many questions! There were many menu options and they were all (appetizers, beverages, entrees and dessert) delicious and served fresh from the kitchen! What a great way to spend a cold winter day in Iowa!

New Years Eve

This was our first igloo experience, and it did not disappoint! Our server was amazing. She was attentive, always there when we needed something, and didn't hover. It was a fairly mild night, so the temperature was quite comfortable with the heaters in the igloo. We only had 4 in our group but there was room for 8. The food was great and arrived hot! We'd definitely be up for another igloo experience.

Igloo Birthday Celebration

Our server Abby L. was FANTASTIC!!! It could have been a bit warmer in the igloo but understandable since it was a cold and windy night. Another heater perhaps. Upon arrival we were informed that the restrooms were broken. At first we thought it was a joke but it was not. We were advised we could use the restrooms at the Guest House 3 doors down. The ones in our party that did so felt extremely awkward doing so, not to mention the cold walk there and back. Food and always beers 10/10. Igloo 7/10. Our server 10/10. Broken restrooms 0/10.

Igloo Review

The igloo was fun and a genius idea to offer safer dining during winter months during Covid. Service was great and beer was great! The food on the igloo menu was a little blah - I wish the normal menu was offered as I feel the igloo menu was pretty basic food and not as tasty as the normal menu. The other thing that I’d change is that our group didn’t get the hot chocolate and we didn’t need the barntown souvenir cups. I’d rather have the minimum be $50 less than have to pay for those things in the embedded initial $100 spend.

Igloo-Brunch style

Our group of 8 had so much fun in the Igloo. We went for brunch and the food was amazing. The chorizo burrito and the biscuits and gravy were fan favorites but all the other food was fantastic too. The bottomless brunch drink option was an easy option, although no one really loved the beer/bloody mary combo. We expected it to be cold since the high was -1 the day we went, but it was so warm in the igloo. Everyone was comfortable, even warm without jackets which was a surprise with how cold it was outside. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a fun dining experience! It was a super reasonable price split between 8 people and the take home glassware was an added bonus. Would definitely do again!!

Valentines Day

When I booked this as a surprise for my hubby, I certainly didn't anticipate it being the coldest weekend of the year! It was still cold in the igloo, but not uncomfortable. The service was top notch, food was excellent. A super fun experience for our group of 7. My only complaint, if I would call it that, is they only allow one check and one card to be ran. For a group setting, there should be an opportunity for individuals to pay their portion.

Awesome night in the Mars Beachball Space Dome

What a fantastic experience. Our Igloo was phenomenal! We had more than enough to eat and drink (and the outdoor menu was delish!) for the set price and our 9:15pm reservation was absolutely perfect. The temperature in our dome was about 47° (But felt warmer) and everyone was comfortable in light winter wear. Jenny and the staff went above and beyond and could not have been more attentive. We felt safe and truly spoiled. We can’t wait to return. It was a perfect night and we could not have asked for anything more. Well Done Barntown!
