About the company
Bo Pan (XiaoBo Pan, LicAc, MBAcC) is a fully qualified acupuncturist at Oxford. In the treatment she uses channel palpation and pulse and tongue diagnosis to detect abnormal changes and energy blocks, and emphasises on whole body energy balance by applying Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element theory. She uses gentle manual technique to release muscle tension in the treatment of neck, shoulder and back pain. Bo holds a BSc (Hons) from the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading. She has also taken further study trips to China and taken Chinese Medicine courses from master practitioners in China. She is a member of British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), fully insured, and practice in Oxford, Reading and Guildford. Bo is a volunteer acupuncturist supporting cancer patients and their carers at the Fountain Centre (FC) in the Royal Surrey Hospital and My Cancer My Choices (MCMC) at the Berkshire Cancer Centre. They are the complementary cancer care therapy centres, where various therapies were offered to relieve side effects, such as fatigue, hot flushes, depression, nausea, pain, dry mouth and constipation etc., from surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Acupuncture involves inserting fine needles at the points along energy channels on the body. Other forms of Chinese Medicine such as moxibustion, guasha and cupping may also be used as part of the treatment. Bo encourages self support by massaging the acupressure points or reflexology zones at home, which will help speed up the recovery and relieve symptoms such as musculoskeletal pain, tooth ache, nausea, piles, etc..
