Hilary Doyle began the first iteration of NYC Crit Club in Summer of 2017 before partnering with Haggarty in the Fall of 2017. Doyle is an artist, curator, gallery co-director and teacher. Doyle is represented by Taymour Grahne Projects in London. Recent group shows include: Beach and Contemporary Domesticity at Taymour Grahne in January 2021 and The Symbolists at Hesse Flatow in Chelsea NY in February 2021. She has an upcoming solo show at Taymour Grahne in Summer 2022.

Yevgeniya Baras is an artist working in NY. She has exhibited her work in several NYC galleries and internationally. She is represented by Nicelle Beauchene Gallery in NY and the Landing Gallery in LA. Yevgeniya is a recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship, the Pollock-Krasner Grant, the Chinati Foundation Residency, the Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program and others. Padma Rajendran was born in Malaysia. She received her MFA in Printmaking at Rhode Island School of Design. She teaches printmaking at SUNY Purchase. She has exhibited at Ortega y Gasset Projects (Brooklyn), High Tide Gallery (Philadelphia),  Crystal Flowers Art Salon (New York), Field Projects (New York), Beers London (UK), the Wassaic Project (Wassaic, NY), September Gallery (Hudson NY), BRIC Arts Media House (Brooklyn, NY), and Blackburn 20/20 (New York) . She has completed residencies at Ortega y Gasset Projects, the Studios at Mass MoCA, Women’s Studio Workshop, Ox-Bow, and Lower East Side Printshop. Rose Nestler (b. 1983 in Spokane, WA, USA) lives and works in Brooklyn. She holds an MFA from Brooklyn College. Nestler has exhibited in the United States and internationally, including exhibitions at König Galerie, Projet Pangeé, Public Gallery, Fisher Parrish, Hesse Flatow, Thierry Goldberg and BRIC. Her work was curated in a two-person show at Spring/Break in 2019 and she was a Lighthouse Works Fellow in 2018. She will be an artist in residence at the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans in 2022. Upcoming exhibitions include solo shows at Public Gallery (London, UK) in 2021 and at Mrs. Gallery (NY, USA) in 2022. Her work has been featured and reviewed in Juxtapoz, Vulture, Maake, and Metal Magazine.

Leeza Meksin is a New York-based interdisciplinary artist. Meksin has recently created site-specific installations for The deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum (2019-20), The Brooklyn Academy of Music (2018-19), National Academy of Design (2018), The Uptown Triennial at The Lenfest Center for the Arts (2017). In 2015 Meksin received the emerging artist grant from the Rema Hort Mann Foundation, and in 2019 was awarded an artist residency at The Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas. In 2013 Meksin co-founded Ortega y Gasset Projects, an artist-run gallery and curatorial collective in Brooklyn that she continues to co-direct. Meksin received a MFA from The Yale School of Art, a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA/MA in Comparative Literature from The University of Chicago. From 2015-2021 Meksin taught in the Visual Arts program at Columbia University’s School of the Arts, where for three years she was the Director of the Graduate program as well as the head of the New Genres concentration. In 2021 she joined the faculty at Cornell University in the College of Architecture, Art, Planning (AAP).

Eric Hibit is a visual artist based in New York City. Paolo Arao is a Filipino-American artist working with painting and textiles. He received his BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Recent solo exhibitions include: The Columbus Museum (Georgia), Morgan Lehman Gallery, David B. Smith Gallery, and Western Exhibitions.

He has participated in residencies at: Art Omi, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, The Museum of Arts and Design (NYC), Millay Arts, MASS MoCA, Vermont Studio Center, NARS Foundation, Wassaic Project, and the Fire Island Artist Residency. Arao’s work has been published in New American Paintings, Maake Magazine, ArtMaze, Dovetail and Esopus. Norm Paris is an artist, curator and teacher based in Brooklyn, New York. He was a 2020 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellow in Printmaking/Drawing/Book Arts and was previously a 2015-16 resident at the Sharpe Walentas Studio Program. Currently a Professor at Rhode Island School of Design, Paris previously taught at the Yale School of Art. He is also a founding member of Tiger Strikes Asteroid New York. He has exhibited in New York at venues including Ortega y Gasset, The Proposition, Transmitter, Monya Rowe Gallery, The Jewish Museum, and the Children’s Museum of the Arts. His work has also been featured at Kopeikin Gallery (Los Angeles, CA), SCOTTY (Berlin, Germany), the Rochester Contemporary Art Center, The Print Center (Philadelphia, PA), The Museum of Drawings (Laholm, Sweden), and the Weatherspoon Art Museum (Greensboro, NC). Paris received a M.F.A from the Yale School of Art and a B.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Meena Hasan (born 1987, NYC) received her B.A. in Studio Art from Oberlin College in 2009 and her MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Yale School of Art in 2013. Haggarty co-founded NYC Crit Club with Hilary Doyle in the Fall of 2017 at Abrons Art Center and has been a co-director since. Catherine Haggarty, b. 1984, is an artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Haggarty earned her M.F.A from Mason Gross, Rutgers University in 2011. Currently, Haggarty is an adjunct professor at The School of Visual Arts (SVA) teaching a Seminar in Drawing Theory/History, European Painting, and Non-European Art Histories. Haggarty’s paintings and curatorial work have been reviewed by and featured in Hyperallergic, Bomb Magazine, Two Coats of Paint, Brooklyn Magazine, The New York Times, Maake Magazine, Art Maaze Magazine, Art Spiel, Sound and Vision Podcast, The Black and White Project, Curating Contemporary’s book Eraser, and Young Space. From 2016 to 2019 she was a co-director of the artist run space, Ortega y Gasset in Brooklyn NY and has curated serval exhibitions.

Deanna Evans is an art curator and dealer who opened their new exhibition space in Tribeca in January 2022. Beginning in 2017, she curated many exhibitions in her apartment space with artists including Holly Coulis, Emily Mae Smith, Dana Powell and many others, culminating in the opening of her first commercial space in Bushwick, Brooklyn in 2021. Additionally, Deanna has put together exhibitions at SPRING/BREAK Art Show, Morgan Lehman Gallery and Reservoir Art Space. Lastly, she previously worked at Taymour Grahne Gallery and Johannes Vogt Gallery, both based in New York City, and holds a MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York.
