These will be processed and logged by our admin team and once we have everything that we need, your case will be reviewed by a senior member of the team and then allocated to one of our Legal Advocates.

They will review your file and then be in touch by email, to introduce themselves to you by and ask any questions that they may have. It may also be possible that they identify where additional evidence may be helpful to your case at this or a future juncture.

When drafting, your Advocate will spend time researching precedents set by case law, legislation and they will utilise the DWP & SSS’s own Assessment Guide to discredit the Assessor’s justifications for the decision.  We find that most of our MR’s run from 15-90 pages in length – however, bear in mind that each document is unique and tailored for you, so this can vary from case to case.

If your PIP, WCA or ADP assessment is by way of a phone or video call, then we can facilitate a conference call with one of our experienced Advocates.  The service includes reviewing your form in advance of the assessment (if you have a copy of this) – two prep calls before the assessment, the advocate with you to take full notes & support with the answers, where necessary, during the assessment.

If your assessment is by way of a call - you will need to call your assessment provider to give them your Advocates’ details – these will be provided to you after booking. Please note, we are only able to attend one assessment call as part of this service, any further or future calls will need to be booked separately.

If your assessment is face to face and you wish to stick with a face-to-face format, then please email us with the appointment date, time, and location so that we can calculate travel costs for you.  These need to be worked out on a case-by-case basis. However, remember that even if you have been allocated a face-to-face assessment, you can call the assessment provider to ask to change this to a telephone or video call if this is better for you.  This is not in any way detrimental to your claim.

Our Advocates are highly trained and have attended thousands of successful assessments by way of telephone, video and in person.  It’s important to note that no one can speak for you during the assessment unless they are already your DWP approved appointee. Our role is to support you, to ensure that you do not forget anything and of course, to note down what is said during the meeting.

Your fee will also include a telephone debrief after the event. If you then obtain a copy of the assessment report from the DWP, we will calculate the points that the assessor has recommended that you are awarded.

If your award is not what you had hoped for, we can support you through the next stages of the process.

If you prefer to complete your own application form, we offer an online service, whereby one of our Legal Advocates can read and review this - along with up-to thirty pages of medical or similar evidence to ensure that this meets the criteria for the benefit and provide feedback by email, on our own, specially drafted feedback document.
