Therapy dog training

I did the behavior modification first with my 3 year old saint bernard. Drew was the trainer. He was truly amazing. I was a bit apprehensive about the eCollar at first but its the BEST THING that ever happened to my dog. Having a professional trainer use this tool is so different than I thought it would be in a good way. Its just a tool and using it correctly finally gave me control of my 130 lb dog in a way I was comfortable with once I learned how to use it. Drew suggested that he would be a great therapy dog... so after BMT, I enrolled him in that program. He trained with Aiden who was an absolute delight. Took his time, valued my time, was always on time (lol time is valuable for me!) He was thorough and a TERRIFIC trainer. I highly recommend the K9 Expert... my dog went from unmanageable to working in a nursing home in FOUR MONTHS.

Highly recommend

Drew is an expert trainer. We have used him twice now, both with rescues. He knows what the dog and owner need. After 1 session our dog knew sit and heel commands. Group classes are great. And Drew gives attention to each dog and owner. Our second dog is a young mastiff with no boundaries and he is manageable now.

Very unprofessional!!!

Ugh, if I could give zero stars, I would. I set up an evaluation and got a text saying they were on their way. A couple of hours later, I asked if everything was good, and they said they were dealing with an aggressive dog and had to reschedule. Whatever, but why say you're on your way if you're dealing with a dog like that? Anyway, a week goes by, and no one contacts me to reschedule, so I ask if they're even a real company. They say yes, so I ask when someone will contact me, and they say they were in a meeting all morning. It's been over a week! I say okay, and they give me the prices. I know it's a lot of money, but I'm willing to pay. I say it's fine, and weeks later, I still haven't heard anything about a new appointment. This is so unprofessional, and I'll never recommend them. It was the worst experience ever, and I'm taking my business elsewhere because over a thousand dollars for this kind of treatment is ridiculous.

The Best Training

We have a 10 month old puppy who we adopted at 8 weeks old. She was stubborn, not a great walker, and thought she ran the house. We decided we needed help and was referred to Drew. After one lesson, our dog has made huge steps forward in her training. Fast forward a few more lessons and she listens, comes back when told, is an amazing walker, and is more relaxed at home. Drew tailors your lesson to your families and dogs need. He focuses on what works for your family. Our vet told us we need to get our dog muzzled train until she trust the vet. I asked Drew which one to buy and he said bring next time and we will work with her. The group classes that Drew offers are amazing as well. He takes time with every dog that shows up for the classes and makes sure every one is seen. I cannot recommend Drew enough!

First Lesson

Well honestly I'm pretty shocked. One lesson. ONE. And i have seen a huge correction in my big 3 year old Saint. Quite stunning really. I wish I had done this much earlier.

So Far So Awesome!

Drew does not mess around! My dog is doing great under his training guidance! As a hooman, if you put in the worl, it does pay off!!!! We can't wait to see what else this dog is capable to of! Thank you Drew! You rock!

Great Training!

We adopted a ~1 year old dog who had never life outside of a kennel and needed to learn how to dog. Drew was able to help Teddy quickly and efficiently. He customized our sessions to focus on what we really needed at the time and always responded quickly to our barrage of questions. Teddy is now an excellent walker, car ride, comes when called and can stay in our yard without a lead. Drew even let my kids participate in sessions so now Teddy listens to them as well as us. The ongoing group sessions are amazing as well, extra socialization for Teddy and refresher for all of us. Drew was a total lifesaver!

Attentive, Knowledgeable, and FUN

Rip is a 4-month-old mountain cur golden retriever mix. He is affectionate, loving, smart and playful. We have only had one session with Drew so far, but we learned A LOT in that first session. Since we have been practicing with him, Rip has learned a lot and is learning more about being off leash while at home to go potty. Drew have been teaching us more about what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong. I look forward to continuing my lessons with drew. If you are looking to get your dog trained, I highly recommend using Drew!!!

Drew is a Miracle Worker

Molly is a 7-year-old Terrier mix, I rescued her in January 2023, she is extremely affectionate, fiercely loyal, & very protective of me, with others, she was a total terrorist, biting, barking, launching at, attacking anyone that came in the house, especially if they got anywhere near me. The first trainer told me that her aggression was fear based. The only reason I went through with the adoption is because she is so affectionate & loyal to me. Drew stated that Molly’s problem has absolutely nothing to do with fear aggression, he said for her, she believes she should be in control, being the pack leader and fulfilling her prey drive. With the 1st training session there was immediate positive results. It went from never being able to walk Molly because she was out of control and not walkable, it was a nightmare. Now, she walks calmly and stays at my heel. I love walking her now, it is such a great experience compared to her yanking, pulling and me fighting to control her & being able to hang on to her leash. Now she is learning that her job is to follow me, to understand that I am the pack leader, it is as though I have a new dog. I absolutely love watching her learn that she is no-longer the boss and that her only choice is to follow my commands. It was amazing watching her intense temper tantrums turn to obedience and passing her boss attitude over to me. The 2nd training session Molly learned, place & down, now when someone knocks on the door, she still barks, but when I tell her place, she immediately goes to one of her beds and immediately goes down. With the 3rd training session, Molly is mastering her walking, heel, sit, break, come/turn around to walk in the opposite direction commands. I am so looking forward to the remaining training sessions for “me” & “Molly” … Drew is truly is “The K9 Expert”, he is also the human expert with training me how to be the pack leader and giving me the tools that I need to help Molly be a better family member. I went from being told by the 1st dog trainer that Molly would always be aggressive, and the 2nd trainer telling me that it would take a minimum of 1 year of weekly training sessions to see results with fixing/correcting Molly’s behavior. With Drew, the results were immediate. Drew is a miracle worker; his training methods work and the results are immediate. I am looking forward to “The socializing Molly” lesson. Drew is to be commended on his patience and exceptional people & canine skills.
