It naturally brings relaxation with it, which results in a decrease of the stress hormone cortisol and therefore also shows a lower rate of premature labor. Pregnancy massage has also been shown to decrease depression, anxiety, leg and back pain, as well as improve mood and better sleep.

The CARÁ pregnancy massage is accompanied by organic essential oils to increase relaxation through fragrance. 

 The pregnancy massage should not be performed in the first trimester, meaning you can book your first massage from the 13th pregnancy week onwards until you go into labor. 

The postpartum massage is a relaxing and nurturing experience, both physically and emotionally. It helps decrease stress hormones and restore blood circulation in the body. The massage is done with organic sesame seed oil and accompanied by aroma therapy.

In this lecture, our midwife Anu Pillav, who started working as an assistant in the maternity department of ITK and today works in the Pelgulinna Maternity Department as a midwife, talks about the physiology of childbirth, ways to cope with labor, the use of water during childbirth and different methods of pain relief. In the lecture, you will get a complete and comprehensive overview of childbirth, Anu clearly outlines the actions that are performed and how childbirth is monitored in the maternity hospital, combining advice and tips for you on how to help and support yourself during childbirth.

In this workshop, our midwife Anu Pillav brings together midwifery and yoga, teaching you to use movement and body relaxation techniques in the different stages of childbirth. Anu teaches techniques on how a partner can support you during birth, thereby helping to make the birthing process more comfortable and safer. The aim of the workshop is to increase the self-confidence, independence, and readiness of you and your partner for childbirth.

Please make sure to wear clothes that are comfortable to move in, so that you can practice different techniques on the spot.

This lecture brings together the postpartum period and breastfeeding. In the postpartum period, a woman experiences many changes, both physically and emotionally. It is a time full of new experiences, adaptation, and recovery. In the lecture, our midwife Kärt Laanejärv talks about the changes that take place after childbirth and how to prepare yourself for them and support yourself while experiencing the changes. In addition, Kärt talks about breastfeeding, skin-to-skin contact, and how to support your own breastfeeding journey. From the lecture, you will get an overview of possible problems related to breastfeeding and how and where to get help if problems occur.

In this lecture, our pediatric nurse Hanna-Stina discusses the first months of a baby's life in a supportive atmosphere. 

The topics that will be covered are baby procedures/tests and vaccines in the hospital, newborn vaccinations in the first months of life, daily home care (eyes, navel, nose, nappy area, nail care, bathing, dressing), care of the intimate area (specific features of boys and girls), baby about safe sleep (sleep environment, sleep characteristics of newborns, windows of wakefulness, need for sleep), feeding and weight gain (breast milk, breast milk substitute, food regurgitation, e.g. reflux, gas pains), vitamin D and its importance, home pharmacy with a newborn (includes a list of home pharmacies). The lecture ends with answers to the questions and a discussion.
