We’ve recently launched a brand new service – Puppy Socialisation walks!

Before now, we’ve only ever walked dogs from 20 weeks old and slowly introduced them to big group walks. But now, we’ve launched dedicated Puppy Socialising Groups!

We’ve got a larger team, with more experience and more facilities. This now enables us to safely deliver some fab socialising groups for pups under 20 weeks old.

What is Puppy Socialisation?

Puppy brains develop so fast that it’s vital they experience socialisation with both people and other dogs at a young age. This helps them to be more confident and be able to communicate more effectively.

The Kennel Club says:

    “A puppy who is properly reared in their early weeks will be far more likely to grow up confident, calm, more open to learning new things, less likely to respond to new experiences fearfully or aggressively – in short, more likely to become a good family dog.”

Once they’ve had their vaccinations at 12 weeks, The Kennel Club recommends dogs start to socialise with others.

This is why we’ve launched Puppy Socialisation – to allow your fur baby to experience these important interactions at a young age so they grow up to be a happy, loving dog.

How will the Puppy Socialising Groups work?

Puppies aged 12-16 weeks will be taken out for a 30 minute session. We run these in the same way as our main group walks – where we can pick up pup from your home, take them out and drop them home afterwards (whether you’re at home or not!) We’ll match your puppy to others who are similar age, breed and size and take them out for a little bit of group play, before returning them home. We can also feed them their lunch if you are not in.

These groups will be taken to a safe location where the pups can play together and socialise just like they are supposed to. There will be a maximum of four pups in the socialisation groups, so we can ensure your pup doesn’t get overwhelmed and overstimulated.

From 16-20 weeks, the groups will be built up from 30 minutes, so the puppies get used to being out for longer. We’ll also focus on getting them from the ‘play’ stage to the ‘walking’ stage. This will get them used to being out and about with others, while exercising AND playing.

Once your fur baby reaches 20 weeks, we’ll get them introduced into 1 hour group walks by putting them with like for like dogs. We have ‘role model’ dogs who are the perfect example for younger pups. They have good recall, manners and who will play nicely with your pups. This will give your baby the chance to learn, play, exercise and socialise just like they should!

How can I get my puppy started?

Just contact us any time to get your pup started! Pop us a message with info about your fur baby and we’ll arrange a conversation or meet and greet to discuss everything. We’ll then get your dog started ASAP.

During the current climate, you’re not allowed to meet up with other people but, your dog still can!  Don’t let your puppy miss out on this vital socialising stage and get in touch now.

A Pet Popin is perfect if you have an elderly dog who may not be up for a walk but would still like some TLC and fuss to break up their day.

Puppies who have not had their injections yet (under 12 weeks) and need some company in the day and not to mention a personal chef to prepare and serve their lunch of course.

£10 group walk

We walk our furbabies all over Studley, Redditch, Coughton, Spernall Ash and more open remote areas with lots of room to run and play. We also rent our own land for safe and secure dog walking.

Our dogs are walked for the full hour or half an hour, depending on your dogs’ ability. We collect your babies from your home or preferred location and drop them home after they have had their fun. The dogs are cleaned off after their walks before heading home. Treats are supplied throughout the walk based on your dogs dietary requirements. Once home, we will leave them nice and comfy to sleep the rest of the day away until you are back.

£15 individual walk

We understand that not all dogs like other dog’s company. If your dog prefers to be walked alone, we do offer individual walks, too.

For dogs who are currently reactive to other dogs, we would always try to work with them. Our intention would be to build them up from individual walks to group walks. We’ve had a lot of success in getting dogs who are reactive (through nerves or aggression) from walking alone, to sharing their walks with other pups!

Alternatively, we offer training for dogs who may be reactive.
