En ne contractant pas nos muscles, ces tissus deviennent ‘accessibles’.l’immobilité pendant plusieurs minutes. Des mouvements brefs et répétés permettent de travailler la mémoire musculaire car les muscles sont des tissus élastiques. Les tissus conjonctifs, de par leur constitution en fibres de collagène, sont particulièrement résistants aux tensions d’où la nécessité d’une traction prolongée et ciblée. Les fascias, membrane qui enveloppe nos muscles et organes (entre autre), se relâchent alors doucement.Parvenir à relaxer profondément son corps jusqu’à trouver l’immobilité nécessite un lâcher prise mental total. Et se libérer mentalement est permis par l'accueil et le dépassement des sensations dans la posture.
