Valentina's professional background is in the NHS and charity sector, where she has supported vulnerable patients with complex mental health issues. Valentina has a keen interest in working with people who struggle with emotion regulation, eating disorders, co-dependancy, drug abuse, loss of meaning in life, anxiety, depression and melancholia. Having lived in many different countries, Valentina is particularly in-tuned with issues of culture shock and adjustment. She is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish. Her life and work experiences shaped her into a multifaceted human being with an inquisitive, flexible and open mind. 

Valentina believes in a holistic approach to mental health care that considers each person’s uniqueness. As a psychotherapist working in the NHS and in community settings, Timur has spent many hours with people who are struggling with personal and emotional problems including anxiety, persistent low mood, and low self-esteem. Timur offers treatment over the short or longer term, strongly believing that by entering therapy, we open up a channel which allows us to address aspects of our lives that we may have preferred not to talk about before, or even admit to ourselves.

Timur has worked with people from very different backgrounds, and those who are struggling with a wide range of problems. He has worked with people who experience recurrent troubles in their relationships, as well as those who have difficulties with sex and intimacy, or with anger or frustration, or with aspects of the world or themselves or their families that they find hard to accept. Timur also has experience working with people who find themselves acting out damaging patterns of behaviour that they find difficult to stop, and those who are troubled by ways of thinking which bother them, and they which they don’t understand.

By providing you with a space to talk freely, within a confidential and safe setting, Timur will help you come to terms with what you may find most painful, and haven’t always been able to deal with on our own.

Heather is an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and clinical supervisor with over 12 years of experience. She is an accredited member of COSCA and is fully insured by the Psychologists Protection Society. She has experience working with clients with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, OCD, depression, low self-esteem, relationship problems and work-related stress. She has developed and facilitated group work programmes for people with anxiety and for those with weight issues using CBT techniques.

Heather has tutored at the University of Glasgow adult learning programme in the area of CBT techniques for maintaining weight loss. She is currently supervising trainee CBT therapists during their training. Although her core training is in CBT, she describes herself as an integrative therapist. She uses techniques from other modalities including; mindfulness based cognitive therapy, compassion focussed and acceptance and commitment therapies alongside traditional CBT methods.

Heather believes that therapy should not only be for people with mental health concerns but instead should be used as part of a self-care routine, to enhance our knowledge and understanding of ourselves to have the best life possible. With her own personal experience in therapy, she is passionate about making a difference in the lives of her clients, helping them fulfil their true potential.

Awa is a humanistic person-centred psychotherapist who is intrigued by human beings and their ability to move from suffering to flourishing. In her therapeutic practice, Awa is dedicated to assisting her clients to better know and own themselves so that they finally can be the person they want to be and live the life they deserve. She believes in the importance of a safe, mindful, empathic and deeply caring therapeutic environment in which her clients don't feel judged or diagnosed but carefully listened to, believed and understood.

Awa understands that sometimes the journey towards ourselves can be very hard especially when the past lays heavy on us. However, her experience has taught her that our past does not determine who we are but gives us the choice to be who we want to be. Jana is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is passionate about helping people alleviate psychological distress, overcome personal difficulties, and live a happier and more satisfying life. It is important to her that her clients feel accepted and safe. Her work is based on the values of respect, trust, tolerance, fairness, freedom of choice, and honesty.

Jana’s psychotherapy model is integrative. She tailors her approach to each client’s individual needs, drawing on insights and concepts of various approaches, particularly Person-Centred, Existential, Compassion Focussed Therapy, EMDR, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. At the core of her approach is a genuine, non-judgemental, and compassionate attitude.

Some of Jana’s clients have experienced mental health difficulties including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Others have required support facing life challenges, for example difficulties with personal relationships, dealing with abusive relationships, loss, and stress.
