Owen VelezDJ Cloud One Founder/instructor: 18th Street DJ Lab
Owen (DJ Cloud One) is a Jerzy transplant with roots in the New York Jazz, Philly Soul, and NJ Hip-Hop scenes. He has been a DJ and turntablist since 1999, Owen spent years backing up Emcees on stage, on tour and, in freestyle cyphers on the east coast. Since arriving in San Francisco in 2016, he established the 18th Street DJ Lab, a workshop curriculum for developing DJs. Offering technical, creative, and business support as well as constructive peer feedback and guest lectures by other industry professionals. Now you can find members and affiliates of the 18th St. DJ Lab in an impressive rotation of shows across a dozen genres through numerous venues around San Francisco, Oakland, and abroad.
