Developing a deeper understanding of subject content. Recommended for students who are learning above grade, who need continuous or advanced subject matter education.

Students will learn to be proficient with their schedules, calendar, homework, test preparation and overall time management.  Learn how to communicate with instructors-- sending emails, and to writing follow up notes to ask questions before or after class. Organization and study skills, Time management, Planning, Communication. Recommended for students who struggle with organization and procrastination, preparing for exams, turning in homework, maintaining self-paced online courses and for homeschool curriculums. Students with a 504 or IEP will benefit with this type of coaching and it is highly encouraged to include executive functioning skills in addition to subject tutoring

Choose between private (1:1) or small group (1:5). Recommended that for students who are seeking test preparation, with less than 4 months before their entrance test date, be learning one year ahead of their grade level or have tested at level 4 (mastered and well above expected standards) on their state's Common Core test in both ELA and math. If your child scored: on track, approaching or below in their state's Common Core testing, 6 to 9 months is recommended and/or summer boot camps. Exams comprise: SAT, ACT, SSAT, SHSAT, HSPT, Regents, TSI, AP Subject Testing, PSAT, and other Exam Prep Upon Request. Recommended for students who have signed up or plan to sign up for entrance exams. Please Note** Seniors wanting to make November 1st college application cut off, will need to take the SAT/ACT exam no later than the scheduled fall exam date.
