The Student Engagement Team are here to support you throughout your time at UCB, ensuring you have a direct point to discuss any challenges you may be facing throughout your studies. We offer 1-1 coaching, working with you to develop goals that will support your personal and academic development. We organise events and workshops to enhance the student experience aiming to assist the university in creating an inclusive and supportive campus.

Hi, I came into university as a mature student with limited qualifications. Since then, I have managed to complete a BSc in Sports Therapy, a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning, and an MSc in Sports Injury Rehabilitation. I have experience of working in many university support departments, as well as teaching teams.

I spent 4 years studying at university in Birmingham myself so understand first-hand many of the challenges that students face, particularly in the areas of mental health and well-being.

Hi, my name is Dayna and I’m a Student Engagement officer here at the University. My role here is to support students settle into your new academic journey.
I studied at the University of Wolverhampton, so I understand the challenges students can go through while at university, especially moving from a different country as I have done this myself!
Since graduating, I have worked with higher education students in accommodation settings and more recently within a Students Union, providing support to all students but particularly to international students, supporting their journey and helping them settle into life in the UK.
