These sessions are stand alone training sessions once you are booked you will be given your own training session to complete, these will be tailored to your current ability. Ideally you will have your own heart rate monitor to track the heart rate training zones, if not then you will go on perceived exertion. As you will be responsible for your own training and these sessions do not include tuition. You will need to be responsible to check the weather and know your ability in mixed conditions.
These sessions will have a course pre-set up for you to complete either 2.5km or 5km (depending on your ability), you will be timed and your time messaged to you. These sessions are ideal for winter training to track your progress, the session will be run for a maximum of 1 hour 15 minutes.
To attend either of these sessions you need to be able to:
Get back on your board unaided Paddle at roughly 5km per hour Steer your board effectively Wear appropriate clothing during colder months (buoyancy aid, winter wetsuit, drysuit, semi-drysuit) Understand the weather and know your ability to paddle in various wind strengths
